Steeltown Shakedown and WDVE
The Turbosonics once again return to the Steeltown Shakedown at the Twin Hi-Way Drive-In, on Saturday, September 6, 2014. It is their sixth year in a row playing this event, and it's gotten better every year. This year The Turbosonics are sharing the bill with local honky-tonk rockers, Mickey and the Snake Oil Boys.
And just to be sure to get the word out to everyone, the Turbosonics are returning to the 102.5 WDVE studios to perform live on the Morning Coffeehouse. The Coffeehouse is a local music spotlight every Friday morning just after 9 am. Tune in on Friday September 5, 2014 at 9:00 am to hear the Turbosonics blast the airwaves with an original surf-rock sizzler.

Wild Kindness Reviews the Surfin' Christmas Show
So a few days before Christmas the Turbosonics played the annual Surfin' Christmas Show at Nied's Hotel in Lawrenceville. It was quite a show! This year the show was filled with Beatles tunes - even a very early Beatles surf-rock song, Cry For a Shadow, penned by George and John. We always enjoy playing with our good friend, Slim Forsythe. Good ol' Slim is turning out to be quite the local celebrity. Here's a recap of the event as reviewed by Ben Soltesz at local Pittsburgh record label, Wild Kindness Records. Thanks Ben and thanks to everyone who made the night so great!
